The Best Moisturizer Oil

moisturizer oil

What is often advertised as best moisturizer oil may not be so good for your skin after all? Typically considered the best moisturizer for very dry skin, mineral oil will only enhance your problem. This ingredient and its siblings may be a popular choice for the major cosmetics companies, but the truth is that it is not worth the money that you pay for it.

The only reason that people think of mineral oil as the best moisturizer oil for your skin, is because so many of the well known products on the market contain it. Mineral oil, paraffin wax, and petrolatum are the darlings of the cosmetics industry, but not for the reason that you might think. It has nothing to do with their being effective, or even healthy to use on your skin.

The cosmetics industry considers any petroleum based ingredient the best moisturizer for very dry skin, because they are very cheap, plentiful, and they require little processing in order to make them usable in skin care formulas. It is formed through the distillation of petroleum to make gasoline, and other petroleum products from crude oils. Let me explain to you why it is not what it is made out to be.

Would you consider an ingredient too dense to thoroughly penetrate your skin the best moisturizer oil? How about one that leaves a greasy residue on your skin, attracts and traps dirt and grime, interferes with the natural exfoliation process, and signals to the production glands in your skin to lower the output of oil? That doesn’t sound like a very good ingredient at all, now does it?

The best moisturizer for very dry skin would also not likely be comedogenic. This means that petroleum based moisturizers will plug the sebaceous glands, which will inevitably lead to the formation of blackheads and acne. When choosing products that contain ingredients such as this you are simply asking for trouble.

The best moisturizer oil is one that is vegetable or otherwise plant based. These ingredients not only moisturize down to the deepest layers of your skin, but they provide your skin with much needed nutrients such as linolenic and omega fatty acids. They cause no negative side effects, and so you can use products containing them as often as you want.

There are so many fine plant based compounds out there that it is hard to decide what the best moisturizer for v 1000 ery dry skin is. Macadamia, avocado, olive, and grape seed oils all make excellent choices for ingredients in cosmetics products. The effect of these emollients can be improved if the product also contains waxes and extracts from other plant sources.

Make no mistake about it. The best moisturizer oil that can be used on your skin is one that comes from the earth. The properties that these compounds contain make them better for your skin than anything that man could possibly come up with. Give products containing these natural oils today, and within a couple of week’s time you will have skin that is softer than you could have imagined.
